HOW WE THINK
Useful tools start with useful questions.
Software should make it easier to understand a situation and decide what to do next. Our approach begins with the business need, then works through the information, decisions, and tasks an application must support. Whether we’re developing one of our own products or discussing an idea with you, the goal is the same: a useful tool with a clear purpose.
What is relevant?
We start by identifying the information that matters to the task: the opportunity, the requirements, the people involved, and the constraints. The aim is to give users a useful starting point and make the source and context of that information easier to understand.
What actually fits?
An option can look promising and still be wrong for a particular business. We consider the user’s goals and circumstances, make important requirements visible, and show where information is incomplete. Useful software should help people understand the reasoning behind a choice.
What happens next?
A decision is only part of the work. We look at the preparation, documents, deadlines, and follow-up that come afterward, so an application can connect research to an organized next step. Users should be able to see what needs attention and remain in control of what they pursue.
